Thank you so much for visiting Hollyhock Hill Designs.  My name is Melvina. I am a true fan of all needle art and fiber art.  I was raised doing all these things and have chosen my favorite, rug hooking, to start a Cottage Business out of my home.

 I have been hooking for many years as well as dyeing.  I hand choose every wool to be sold and purchase the best available.  Wools are always changing so get what you want when you see it!  It may be available again or it may not.   I hand dye each and every piece of wool sold and hand draw each and every pattern. New colors and designs are constantly added or deleted.  

Know this:  In this fiber art I am a rug hooker first.  I design the patterns that I hook.  I dye the wool that I hook.  Not just dye wool to sell.  I hook nearly every day of my life so I know what I am selling to you.  I know my wools and I know my patterns very well.  I know them because I use them, not just sell them. 

Customer service is #1 here at Hollyhock Hill Designs. I work very hard to bring you the supplies you need to make your rug special. Being a cottage industry goes a long way to keeping prices down.  I do not have the overhead a regular shop has so this helps in the pricing structure. I know that my success or lack of is because of you.  I try my best to get out each order within 24-48 hours of being placed. Running this business is what I do.
